DDJ RZX M1 Rekordbox Video and Windows Mac hybrid use After using Rekordbox Video for a while my experience is, that there is almost no Windows based Laptop, with enough performance for Rekordbox Video for an intense Live performance, without delays or problems. New Mac computers containing Apple’s M1 chip are about to be released. We’re currently reviewing the compatibility of our software and hardware with the new Macs. We will share updates when we’re able to. Until then, we can’t guarantee our products are. Rokordbox test under Rosetta on Macbook air M1 Big Sur. No issues detected. Related to my other Posts I switched from Windows to Mac by using the latest Mac Mini M1, 16 GB RAM (OS Big Sur). The system has all latest Big Sur Patches applied (Rekordbox as well, as the RZX-Firmware and the RZX-Mac drivers with all those necessary steps to enable them by reducing the OS security level). Manage the music in your rekordbox library. With Hardware Unlock devices, you can use some Core plan functions too. Export mode; Performance features controlled via PC/Mac; Core. Get creative with advanced DJ.

Please note that although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns for NI products. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors. At the moment, Native Instruments products are not supported on computers with Apple Silicon processors. Read more - here

Mac users waiting to upgrade their operating systems to Big Sur, and those who have or are thinking of buying the new M1 Macs, have some good news today: Both Pioneer DJ and Traktor have announced that their DJ software and hardware is fully compatible with the latest Mac OS.
Pioneer DJ/Rekordbox users
For Pioneer DJ and Rekordbox users, all hardware and software works with both Big Sur and the M1 Macs following the announcement.
The only thing to bear in mind is that if you use a driver with your hardware, you’ll need to update that driver to the Big Sur version – but apart from that, you’re good to go.
Traktor users
Meanwhile, Traktor has announced Traktor Pro 3.4.1, which broadly brings the same thing for Traktor users.

Traktor software and hardware is now compatible with both Big Sur and the Apple M1 Macs, but note that if you’re a Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3 owner, you’ll need to be running Big Sur 11.2 or higher – all other Traktor hardware works fine with any version of Big Sur.

Virtual DJ and Algoriddim’s djay Pro AI users have had compatibility since last year for both Big Sur and the M1 Macs – but Serato DJ users should still hold off pending an official announcement from Serato, before making a hardware or software switch.
